The Turner Family

Ok, I know it was last week, but here it is.

On Fathers Day Kevin got breakfast (fresh blueberry pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, strawberries, oj and milk) in bed with the Sunday paper. The day before we decided that we were going to go on a picnic with the other Turners, Dick and Joyce and Brian, Eryn and Liam. So after breakfast, we packed up the car, stopped for some fried chicken and potato wedges, and headed for Veterans Park. It was a beautiful day and it was fun watching the boys enjoy themselves. It was so nice we went from there to the community pool in Tuscany near Dick and Joyce’s house. It was so fun taking the little boys into the water! We have little inflatable chairs that will also keep them shaded, so they are completely pampered! What a life! All in all I think a good day was had by all and many fun memories were made and traditions started!

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers in my life! (and Happy Birthday Joyce!) We love you all.

We have taken Braden swimming a few times now in an actual swimming pool and he LOVES it! We knew he likes his bath, but he loves water in general. He splashes and kicks at times but then also just floats calmly. When I put him under the water he just comes back up blinking his eyes and looking a little startled. No coughing or crying! What a good boy and already a little fish.

Well, here I am on my last day here in Bangalore, India after a week and a half.  It has been quite a trip.  I had a great time and met some great people but it was EXTREMELY hard being away from my family and I can’t wait to be home with them again.

I’ll write again soon about my actual trip and about the crazy traffic and driving, but for now I’ll link to some photos I took and a video …

He’s here!  Born on February 1st, 2008 at 12:48PM.  He was 7lbs and 14oz & 19.5 inches long!  He and his mother are doing wonderful.  thanks for all your prayers.

Kevin and I got a new camera last week. It’s a Canon EOS Rebel XTi digital SLR. I’m sure he can tell you all the details about it more than I can but it means he has a new toy to play with! Since I’m the only other human in the house, he takes my picture all day! Most get deleted, but I thought I’d post a few of the more fun ones.

One of the Christmas presents I received from my parents was Guitar Hero III for the Xbox 360.  I had NO IDEA how much I would be addicted to this game, but alas, I am.  The bonus is that Morgan even enjoys playing the game.  One problem I need to watch is to not play the songs too much as that really annoys Morgan and might make it so that she won’t play anymore.  My goal is to get Morgan to love video games ….

Last Sunday night, August 5, Morgan and I went to the Martina McBride concert at the Idaho Center.  I had bought these tickets for Morgan back in April for her birthday.  We had a great time and were in the third row on the floor.

We were both very tired from working on our rental house for 20 hours that weekend, but it was well worth it.  I actually enjoy her music and very much appreciate her vocal ability.  She is Morgan’s favorite female country artist.  I constantly catch Morgan singing her songs when they come up on her iPod.
