Christmas Trip to the Great Northwest

Since Morgan’s parents have moved to California, we decided to meet them in Portland to see both sides of Morgan’s family.  We left on Christmas afternoon and will return on the 30th.  It is always good to see family, especially since we only get to see them once or twice a year.

Turners in 2008

What a wonderful year, but my goodness it went quickly! One year ago, I was very pregnant and we couldn’t wait to meet our son. After seeing all the snow is January, Braden decided he’d wait awhile and come in February.

February 1st Braden Keith Turner was born and made Kevin and I both very proud parents.  He was happy, healthy and the cutest little man that we’ve ever seen! (If we do say so ourselves!) The next few months flew by in a blur of diapers, feedings, naps and everything baby related.

In May, my parents moved to Southern California for my dad’s job. He retired from HP a year earlier and found a managerial job at Design Works, a design company for BMW! This was a hard change for me to get used to, but as time goes on it is getting easier, and now we have a nice new vacation spot!

June found us up at the lake, in the pools or at the beach. Braden LOVES the water! I think I know where he gets it! We also took our first trip to Camarillo to see my parents new house. It was great to see them in their new surroundings. In July we met the family in Sun River for our yearly tradition of family, food, fun and sun! Pure relaxation!

August and September brought more firsts for Braden; first camping trip and first trip to a pumpkin patch. He loved both. So much dirt, so little time! In October our little Monkey was, well, a monkey for Halloween. We thought it was very fitting for our crazy little man.

November also had another fun first, first live BSU football game! We took our traditional trip down to the BSU vs. Reno football game and this year Braden got to participate. I’m not sure he was able to understand or enjoy it as much as the adults but at least he got a good nap in!

And here we are again in December! Our little baby has 8 teeth, will confidently walk almost everywhere and is growing up way too fast! He is such a joy and is still a very happy boy. We are always so blessed by his sweet smile. We hope you all have had a wonderful year and we look forward to seeing what God does in your lives in the coming year. May He bless you as richly as He has blessed us! We love you all and hope to hear from you soon.

Love,

Kevin, Morgan & Braden Turner

And now for something completely different …

My Job has a new marketing campaign beginning called “hit print”. You may have seen some of the wireless commercials with the pictures flying through the air.

They also produced another video which was shown internally a while ago, but now has been released. I thought it was really well done.

So there. We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.

Thanksgiving

For thanksgiving this year we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Turner’s house.  Lots of good food and family.  Braden had a lot of fun playing with the same toys Kevin played with when he was a child.  Here are a couple of photos.
